Atlantis Relived

I love my city. The Washington Metropolitan Area has been on the uprise with nationally respected local artist, our own unique style, sound and beautiful sight. I cant wait until the new National Harbor is complete. They have put so much work into it. I can print the traffic reports to prove it. Friends of mine have already received jobs at the local convention center, hotel, clubs and other small popular businesses. A definent new target for my future plans, hopefully. Economy Hits Retailers HARD

In one of my ghost visits to South St, as Dru from Pedestrian stated when i walked into his store for the first time in months, I noticed a few nice retail spaces for rent. It has not been disclosed but there are a lot of projects in the work in the Philadelphia area. Anyway South St is the place said to be the place to go when you come to Philly, a popular shopping district that I grew bored and tired of when I worked there. Visit Jim's for a legendary cheese steak (ASS!, I prefer Ishcabibbles), get a tattoo at one of 10 tattoo parlors on each block, go drink at Fat Tuesdays, and shop until your broke. Well all the stores have fallen behind in the fashion trend. South St just isnt the same. It was even once home to DC's streetwear brand HoBo prior to my transition here in 2004. It was a location of high rent but high traffic. Sometimes not the traffic you want. The majority of the stores carry the most random, unknown selection to try and be different and the others carry the exact same thing. During my walk I noticed location after location, when it hit me. South Street is on a major downfall although they are undergoing a major image revamp. 26 retail locations have gone out of business on South Street within the year. That is roughly one in every 3 store fronts you see as you walk down. Hmmm so lets scratch the store on south street and turn this place into Adams Morgan. The place still has potential. I think I've found my calling

Focus FLOP.. i mean SPOT!

So I'm browsing Niketalk, something i do not do too often anymore and I see a post about a new spot. It's called Flawless Victory and is located in Boston. Man oh man i could not stop laughing. My friend told me to edit my comment because i was being mean as usual. I guess it was a quick unplanned idea, but, well just look at the place for yourself....smh i personally think it looks like a sneakerhead thrift store

I assume they got tired of painting the rest of the canopy white?!

Is that a small bookshelf? is that a red bench from a bus station? I'm scared to sit down...

The classic bookshelf to house shoes.. but wait, this isn't a room, and is that a small tv stand
LAST BUT ... well FINALLY LEAST, LMAO is that ur grandmamy's vintage China dish case and an old booth from the diner that shut down years back?

Keep in mind, my intention is not to hate and bash, although it may be hard to tell. I am in the operation phase to open my own shop but i hate to see work half ass done with no effort put in. Business is to be planned and taken serious. Work hard and reep the results
